Coaching Philosophy:
Your interests drive me; I will listen to what you need. So, communicate with me about the good, the frustrating, the ‘stuck’-ness of your process. Above all, I want what’s best for you, seeking to help you achieve your potential and realize the strength and power within you. So, I will be honest with you, always, acting as a sincere, blunt partner to you in your journey. I will push you because I believe in you. But, you must put the work in. This is a difficult activity; becoming excellent is even more challenging, but it is possible. You have it in you.
To speak well is to observe, to challenge, to connect. But, fundamentally, it is to uplift voices unheard, issues neglected. Speech and debate acts as a vessel for truth-sharing, no matter how uncomfortable those truths may be. Performing well hinges on the core of introducing a conversation worth having. So, let’s craft yours. What will you say that the world should hear?

Short Bio:
Hello! My name is Shraddha Dwivedi, and I am a current second-year at The University of Arizona, studying Neuroscience & Cognitive Science and Molecular & Cellular Biology. I’ve been coaching ever since I ended my high school career in 2023, working with speech and debate students of all ages, commencement speakers for my university, and TEDx invitees.
During my four years of speech and debate, I competed almost exclusively in Oratory, which really allowed me to gain an intimate understanding of the event. I am truly so passionate about making those ten minutes of performance your own, a space tailored for you to best share your story and your message. More than anything, speech has taught me the value and art of connection; it’s what transforms our pieces into impact. In my time in oratory, I was fortunate enough to be a NIETOC Finalist (3rd), NSDA Semifinalist (7th), AZ State Champion and 4x Finalist, UKTOC Semifinalist (7th), ASU Champion and Finalist, and Harvard Semifinalist (9th). None of that would have been possible without the help of 3P. Working with 3P during my junior and senior years of high school transformed my performance, appreciation for this activity, and the skills it provides us each moment outside of it. This is what I instill in my students - a passion for the art of communication and the expertise to take it beyond the walls of your rounds.
Expertise:
-
Speaking with heart. Writing with authenticity and power. Your piece should be just that: yours.
-
Finding a topic that is not only meaningful to you but also relevant and urgent to the world around you
-
Critical analysis of research. Making sure that you parse through and present information uniquely and effectively
-
Building trust with your audience (dynamics, emotional depth, insertion of examples applicable and impactful to them). Ensure that your words and, therefore, ideas, stick!
